Let the Festing Begin!

Just wanted to tell y’all about a bunch of festivals and concert halls where you can find us making music over the next few months.

Familiar names like Musikfest, the Celtic Heritage Festival, Historic Bristol Day and our 10th (yes, 10th!) appearance at our perennial favorite, Albert Music Hall! …AND new and exciting ones like the Northern Appalachian Folk Festival (where we will be headlining!)

Check out our calendar for all the particulars!

We hope you can make it. Would love to see you!

Our haunting new single is out now!

Check out our new song “Everlasting Faint (The Tale of the Greenbrier Ghost)” . It’s the true story of Elva Zona Heaster Shue, a young woman from Greenbrier County WV, who was strangled by her husband because he didn’t like the stew that she made for his dinner. He then covered up the murder. Elva Zona’s ghost appeared to her mother so that the truth would be known. It’s one of the few cases in US history where the testimony of a ghost was accepted in a court of law. Listen to the song to see what happened!

And on October 28, we will be releasing the music video that we shot on location at Elva Zona’s gravesite. Stay tuned! We’ll send a link.

We are using this song to help raise money for the Family Refuge Center in Greenbrier County, West Virginia that helps victims of Domestic Violence in a three county area. Please give if you can!

Thank You!

Love y’all!

Summer Roadtrip 2018

As we work and play our way through making our new record, we’re taking a short break for a quick tour down in West Virginia.  We’ll be playing at Carnegie Hall on June 28 from 6:30-8pm, then at the Irish Pub on Washington Street on June 29 from 8-11pm. Can’t wait to see our West Virginia friends!
And for our local Bucks fans, don’t forget we’re playing Celtic Heritage Day on June 24! We’ll be on the Bristol Riverfront Park stage at 3:00pm!

West Virginia Flood Relief Concert — This Saturday!!

Come join the River Drivers and our musical guests as we raise money for those affected by the devastating floods in West Virginia.

We’ll be playing on October 1, 2016 starting at 8 PM @ Tir na nÓg in Trenton, NJ

Admission is free but we’ll be collecting money for local organizations in Greenbrier County, WV, where a 1000-year flood wiped out many homes and businesses just this past summer. As we played concerts around the eastern ridges of the Mountain State, it was clear there is a long road ahead–from cleaning up to rebuilding lives. We can all help a bit!

Hope to see y’all at the benefit concert!!!

Brand new release!

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising, the River Drivers are releasing our new original song “Cumann na mBan,” about the women who clasped hands across class boundaries to help lead the fight for an Irish Nation. They were activists, nationalists, feminists and socialists whose ultimate sacrifices were, for far too long, overshadowed by their male comrades in arms.
