West Virginia Flood Relief Concert — This Saturday!!

Come join the River Drivers and our musical guests as we raise money for those affected by the devastating floods in West Virginia.

We’ll be playing on October 1, 2016 starting at 8 PM @ Tir na nÓg in Trenton, NJ

Admission is free but we’ll be collecting money for local organizations in Greenbrier County, WV, where a 1000-year flood wiped out many homes and businesses just this past summer. As we played concerts around the eastern ridges of the Mountain State, it was clear there is a long road ahead–from cleaning up to rebuilding lives. We can all help a bit!

Hope to see y’all at the benefit concert!!!

Brand new release!

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising, the River Drivers are releasing our new original song “Cumann na mBan,” about the women who clasped hands across class boundaries to help lead the fight for an Irish Nation. They were activists, nationalists, feminists and socialists whose ultimate sacrifices were, for far too long, overshadowed by their male comrades in arms.

Listen to our new single on YouTube, download a free copy here–and soon you’ll be able to buy a copy on iTunes, Spotify, CDBaby, Amazon, and more!

Change in our Concert Calendar

We have cancelled our appearance at The Canal Day Music and Craft Festival in Wharton, NJ this weekend after becoming aware of allegations concerning a history of exploitation of an elephant named Nosey (alias Tiny) who is scheduled to provide rides at the festival. We are very sorry to disappoint any of you who were going to come up and hear us.  We will be back in NJ at the Mercer Irish Festival on September 11. Check our calendar for the rest of our upcoming shows this Fall. Hope to see you all soon!

It’s here!

Our brand new album River Drivers is finally available!  You can find it in all the usual places–CDBaby, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and more! Take a look at all the options here, and keep an eye on our calendar for upcoming concerts.

We also received a great review and interview in No Depression, the eminent folk music magazine. So cool! And we’ve been getting local radio play coast-to-coast and over in Ardara, Co. Donegal, Ireland. Keep an ear out for us!

Thanks to everybody who came out to our CD release concert at the Bristol AOH! Great crowd, great times, and a rocking trad session afterward!  There should be an article soon in the Bucks County Courier-Times, but in the meantime, check out some fantastic photos from the event.

Exciting times!!! Stay tuned!
